The Classroom
Daily Routine
The classroom is set out with following areas
Small World/Construction Area : Role Play Area : Self Selection/Creative Table
Sand & Water Play : Computer : Book Corner : Playdough /Messy Play Table
Numeracy Area : Literacy Area : Music Corner: Understanding the World Table.
The equipment and resources in these areas are changed around weekly or half weekly.
Outside the children have the opportunity to play with trikes, pushchairs, large construction sets, balls, hoops, balancing equipment, whiteboards, blackboards as well as sand and water play.
Each session follows a set routine starting with free play from 9.00 to 11.30, children will have a choice of playing and doing activities both inside and outside, which will include some adult led and large group activities. Snack time will be offered from 9.30 onwards until about 10.30. At 11.30 the children will help tidy up before sitting down for circle time. At 12.00 it will be time for the children to go home or get ready to participate in the Lunch Club. In the afternoon the children again have free play and the choice of playing inside or outside from 1.00pm to 2.30pm when it is tidy up time and the session ends with circle time before the children are collected by their parents
